Description

Bransford Game Fisheries comprise three picturesque pools, with superb views down the Teme valley. The Island Pool (the Catch and Release Pool), is Spring-fed, whilst the Lodge and Walton Pools are replenished from a subterranean reservoir of Malvern Spring Water. The presence of large numbers of Cray-fish is proof of the purity of the water in all three pools.

Stocking. The pools are stocked on a regular basis with Shasta Rainbow Trout from Bibury Trout Farm, these fish are renowned for their fighting qualities. Average weight is just over 2 lbs. The record to-date is 18lbs 4ozs. There are considerable numbers of Brown Trout in the Lodge and Walton Pools, between 3lbs and 6 lbs in weight. These must be returned if hooked.

Facilities. Ladies and Gents Toilets. There is an Anglers Rest Room with free tea and coffee on a self-service basis. There is also a micro-wave, T.V. and barbecue for the convenience of anglers.

General. These well-established pools support a huge range of insects....Dragon Flies...Damsel Flies...Hawthorn..Sedge..Stone Flies etc., and there has been a regular hatch of May Flies since 2001.
