Upton Folk Festival takes place over the Bank Holiday from Friday 3rd May until Monday 6th May 2013.
This annual bash in Upton-upon-Severn is packed with folk music, chorus groups and ceilidh bands. Morris teams from all over the country perform in the streets.

MALVERN HILLS WALK
Saturday 18th May 2013
Take part in St Richard’s Hospice 29th Annual Malvern Hills Walk and experience the magic of the Malvern Hills.
You can choose to do a 2,5 or 11 mile walk, so it''s suitable for all the family.

The 2 and 5 mile routes are circular, starting at 10am and 10.30am at the Blackhills car park.
These two routes are ideal for families – bring a packed lunch and enjoy beautiful views of the Worcestershire countryside.
The 11 mile route (starting at 9am) is suitable for the more adventurous and goes along the length of the Malvern Hills from Chase End. Why not get your family or colleagues together?
There is no registration fee but we ask all walkers to raise as much sponsorship money as possible.
Registration closes on Monday 13th May 2013.
Only those pre-registered will be able to take part so book your place today!

Acorns Triple Run – Chose Your Distance

The Acorns Triple Run is a running event designed to appeal to all ages, levels of fitness and sporting ability. The three courses allow members of the family, both young and old to participate.
The Acorns Triple Run celebrates the strength and determination that we all have within us and often take for granted. In particular it is designed to encourage able bodied and disabled children to participate together
1km Fun Run - Entry Fee £5.00
This 1 kilometre wheelchair friendly course is designed to cater for children and adults with special needs. Entrants may be self-propelled, walk, run or be pushed around the course. This outdoor course finishes under the same finish arch as the 5km Woodland Trail and Half Marathon. The course is well marshalled and participants can make use of specialist facilities in the Fun Run HQ.
5km Woodland Trail – Entry Fee £8.00
A 5 kilometre multi-terrain fun run or walk through scenic woodland adjacent to the Showground site. All children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Malvern Half Marathon – Entry Fee £18.00 (affiliated runners) / £20.00 (non-affiliated runners)
A predominately flat course, running through villages beneath the picturesque setting of the Malvern Hills.

WHITE LADIES ASTON GARDEN FETE

TENBURY TEME VALLEY BAND
Tenbury Teme Valley Band and Little Hereford Voices Community Choir are performing together in ''Music for a Summer Evening''on Saturday 29th June 2013, at 7.30 pm.
All proceeds from the event will go to two local charity organisations-Shoot for the Stars (a group for vulnerable young people) and Mandy Davies Cancer Support (offering support for families of cancer sufferers in the Tenbury area).

UPTON BLUES FESTIVAL
July 19th - 21st 2013
Upton Blues Festival – probably the best completely free blues festival in the UK.
In and around the Pubs and Streets of Upton upon Severn.
Set in the beautiful Worcestershire riverside town of Upton upon Severn, the 2013 festival will be the 12th – growing from a small event in a couple of pubs into what is now a festival that swamps the town with thousands of music fans, features the ‘Best of British Blues’ over a whole weekend on three main stages and nine pub venues, totaling over 100 gigs over the weekend.

A TASTE OF WORCESTERSHIRE FOOD & JAZZ FESTIVAL

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, A Taste of Worcestershire Food Festival will return to Brockencote Hall in July 2013.
Celebrating the wealth of fine food and drink from Worcestershire and beyond, the exciting two-day event is open to all local food producers, showcasing anything and everything to do with the foods we love to eat, cook or share.
Running from Saturday July 27 to Sunday July 28, the Festival takes place in a spacious marquee and the surrounding meadow at prestigious Brockencote Hall in Chaddesley Corbett.
As well as regular cookery demonstrations during both days, and the opportunity to browse and buy from the many stalls, the event also incorporates a Jazz Festival on the Saturday night!
The Food Festival runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday, while the doors will open for the Jazz Festival at 7pm on Saturday.
Admission is by ticket only and there is plenty of free parking on site.

WELLAND STEAM RALLY
26th 27th & 28th July 2013
A great family day out packed with things to see and do by the beautiful Malvern Hills.
The Welland Steam and Country Rally is held every year over 3 days on the last weekend in July. The Rally first started in 1964 by a handful of Steam Engine enthusiasts in Ross-on-Wye and it has grown and developed since then. It is now one of the largest and most respected events of its type in the country on its own 130 acre site in Welland, Worcestershire.

The Rally is a day of nostalgia, sights, sounds and colour for every member of the family as you take a trip down memory lane to the days when steam power reigned on the roads, farm and fairground.
