DescriptionThe Fleece Inn is a fifteenth century timber framed mediaeval farmhouse now owned by the National Trust.
The Inn nestles on the edge of the Cotswolds within the picturesque village of Bretforton, lying adjacent to the beautiful church of St Leonard’s around the village square.
An historic quintessential English Pub with a Medieval Barn and Orchard Garden set in an idyllic country village.
The Bar of The Fleece Inn is without parallel in terms of its overall character. The low timber beams and welcoming atmosphere take you in as soon as you enter and most visitors agree "it is very difficult to leave!"
For years The Fleece has been noted in particular for the quality of its Real Ale. This results in yearly entries in the Good Pub Guide and awards such as the Camra regional Pub of the Year.
The Fleece Menu is inspired by the finest local produce and prepared to the highest standard, with an extensive choice of home cooked food.
A wide range of Events and Entertainment take place at The Fleece Inn throughout the year. Please check our website for Events Listing and further details.
WEEKLY FOLK NIGHT

MEN IN GENERAL
Thursday 9th May form 7.30pm - Tickets £9
Men In General are five ordinary lads, so they tell us, separated at birth by the cruel hand of fate, later sacked by BP for mishandling an oil spillage, awarded six-figure pensions and now talking & singing Marvin Gaye, Joe Jackson, Coope Boyes & Simpson, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Stephen Stills, Billy Joel, Elvis, The Beach Boys, The Spooky Men’s Chorale & other top lyrics.
They are a superb all-male five-piece à capella band and sing songs of the great and the good with loads of fun and frolics along the way.
Sunday 19th May from 7.30pm. Tickets £12
Paul Hutchinson and Paul Sartin play like no-one else you've ever heard. Their music is breathtaking and wickedly inventive and the between-tunes interchange as intelligent and hilarious as the music. But don't let me give you the impression they're a lightweight comedy act: they finish the set with a haunting piece of oboe and accordion magic which has the audience spellbound.
ANNUAL BRETFORTON SILVER BAND ASPARAGUS AUCTION
Sunday 26th May from 6.30pm - Free Entry
From 6.30pm the famous Bretforton Silver Band Asparagus Auction begins. Hundreds gather in the courtyard of the pub to bid for the seasons largest, freshest and greenest Asparagus. All the produce is donated by local growers and Auctioned off by local man Colin Jelfs. In past years thousands of pounds have been raised for the Bretforton Silver band instruments and in 2010 Coutryfile's Adam Henson attended the auction with his camera crew and raised the bids to record amounts.
